Ethics in Public Administration: Ethical Decision-making Models

Abstract
In this article, the researcher would like to study about ethics in public administration, focusing specifically on the issue of ethical decision-making models. Methodology used in the study is documentary research, focusing on books and articles. The findings show that, there are four key ethical decision-making models practiced in public administration. They are (1) Ethics Triangle Model, (2) Ethical Problem-Solving Model, (3) Ethical Decision-Making Model, and (4) Moral Development Model. Public administrators and public servants can apply these models when they encounter some ethical problems or ethical dilemmas in daily practices. These models, consequently, are considered as effective means for enhancing ethical decision-making of public officials.
