Factors Influencing Freshmen to enroll for the Political Science Program, College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University

Abstract
This quantitative research assessed the factors influencing freshmen to enroll for the Political Science Program, College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University. Samples were 310 first year students at the College. Research was conducted using a 5-level Likert scale. Frequency, mean, standard deviation, T-test and F-test were used to analyze data (one-way ANOVA). Results determined that overall influencing factors were = 3.92, S.D. = 0.48. Factors influencing the instructor and staff were = 4.14, S.D. = 0.58, followed by the image of the institution ( = 4.09, S.D. = 0.54), courses ( = 4.03, S.D. = 0.53), process of teaching ( = 3.85, S.D. = 0.60), college management ( = 3.73, S.D. = 0.59), and cost of education ( = 3.70, S.D. = 0.76).
