บทคัดย่อ

การเลือกโรงเรียนของผู้ปกครองมักถูกกำหนดโดยเงื่อนไขทางด้านเศรษฐกิจและสังคม และปัจจัยเชิงพื้นที่ที่ส่งผลต่อความสามารถในการเดินทางมายังโรงเรียน ด้วยสถานการณ์ประชากรวัยเรียนที่ลดลงอย่างต่อเนื่องและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของการใช้ประโยชน์พื้นที่ของกรุงเทพมหานครชั้นใน โรงเรียนต่าง ๆ จึงได้รับผลกระทบและพยายามปรับตัวภายใต้สภาวะการแข่งขันจากตัวเลือกโรงเรียนที่เกิดขึ้น และผลกระทบยังส่งผลถึงนักเรียนที่ต้องดำเนินชีวิตในวัยเรียนในโรงเรียนนั้น ๆ ร่วมด้วย งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบจากการเลือกโรงเรียนของผู้ปกครองที่ส่งผลต่อโรงเรียนและนักเรียนของโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาในกรุงเทพมหานครชั้นใน โดยใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกครู และการอภิปรายกลุ่มนักเรียน จากการศึกษา พบว่า โรงเรียนที่มีเขตบริการการศึกษาแตกต่างกันได้รับผลกระทบจากการเลือกโรงเรียนของผู้ปกครองแตกต่างกัน ทั้งในด้านของจำนวนนักเรียน การแบ่งแยกลักษณะทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมของโรงเรียน รวมถึงการจัดการพื้นที่ภายในโรงเรียนทั้งนี้โรงเรียนต่าง ๆ ประสบข้อจำกัดในการพัฒนาโรงเรียน สำหรับนักเรียนได้รับผลกระทบจากกิจวัตรที่เกิดขึ้นภายในโรงเรียน พื้นที่ชุมชนและละแวกโรงเรียน และพื้นที่เปลี่ยนผ่านระหว่างบ้านและโรงเรียนของนักเรียน ทั้งทางด้านร่างกาย ทางด้านสังคม ทางด้านอารมณ์และความรู้สึก ตลอดจนการรับรู้และความรู้สึกเชื่อมโยงต่อพื้นที่ที่แตกต่างกันระหว่างโรงเรียนที่มีเขตบริการที่แตกต่างกัน
