บทคัดย่อ

บทความชิ้นนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการตั้งคำถามกับบรรทัดฐานรักต่างเพศในบันเทิงคดีแนวสืบสวนสอบสวนผ่านการนำเสนอภาพครอบครัวของคู่รักเพศเดียวกันในอาชญนิยาย ชุด โฮล์มส์ แอนด์ มอริอาริตี ของจอช แลนยอน จากการศึกษาพบว่าบรรทัดฐานรักต่างเพศมีอิทธิพลอย่างมากต่อการนำเสนอตัวละครนักสืบชายและการนำเสนอภาพของครอบครัวคู่รักเพศเดียวกัน ตัวบทคัดสรรพยายามตั้งคำถามต่อขนบการดำเนินเรื่องของบันเทิงคดีแนวสืบสวนสอบสวนในยุคแรกเริ่มที่นำเสนอตัวละครนักสืบชายแบบตายตัว กล่าวคือนักสืบชายในอดีตมักใช้ชีวิตแบบสันโดษและไม่มีครอบครัว แต่ตัวบทคัดสรรกลับนำเสนอให้เห็นว่านักสืบเองก็สามารถทำหน้าที่นักสืบไปพร้อมกับการมีคนรักและสร้างครอบครัวได้โดยไม่ต้องดำเนินรอยตามบรรทัดฐานรักต่างเพศเสมอไป นอกจากนี้ ตัวบทคัดสรรยังพยายามนำเสนอครอบครัวของคู่รักเพศเดียวกันที่แตกต่างไปจากครอบครัวของคู่รักต่างเพศด้วย แต่อิทธิพลของบรรทัดฐานรักต่างเพศทำให้คู่รักเพศเดียวกันรับเอาค่านิยมของสังคมกระแสหลักมายึดถือในการสร้างครอบครัวด้วย การนำเสนอภาพครอบครัวคู่รักเพศเดียวกันในอาชญนิยาย ชุด โฮล์มส์ แอนด์ มอริอาริตี จึงยังไม่หลุดพ้นจากบรรทัดฐานรักต่างเพศได้อย่างแท้จริง
