Abstract

Buddhism considers that the mind (Citta) has the power to control the body, the mind and the body work depend on each other. The Abhidhamma Pitaka, the mind (Citta) of human or animal is delicate and can be categorized in severalty. Western psychology study the mind and the mind process in terms of overt behavior by experiment. Eastern psychology, in contrast, study in terms of practice for mind development by meditation both in concentration development (Samatha) and insight development (Vipassana) to control defilements.
