The Development of English Instructional to Develop the English Communicative Achievement of Students in Pratomsuksa 5 Under Phrae Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the conditions, needs, and problems of teaching English, 2) create and find the efficiency of English teaching models, 3) experiment with English teaching models, and 4) evaluate and improve English teaching models to develop English learning achievement for communication of Grade 5 students. The sample group consisted of 10 Grade 5 students of Ban Thung Hong School (Aphiwang Wittayalai) by purposive sampling. The instruments used were learning management plans, learning activity sets, achievement tests, and satisfaction assessment forms. The statistics used in the experiment were percentages, means, and standard deviations. The results of the research found that the post-test scores were significantly higher than the pre-test scores at a statistical level of .05. The students’ satisfaction had a mean of 4.67 and a standard deviation of 0.47. From the focus group discussions by educational experts, it was found that the principles were appropriate and quite possible. The theoretical framework was comprehensive, appropriate, and clear. The 7T Model of English teaching models was highly appropriate, indicating that the curriculum development/curriculum improvement was appropriate and supported by theoretical concepts at each step. In terms of measurement and evaluation, it is appropriate.
