Guidelines for developing students' Thai language communication skills in the role of higher education institutions and changes in language phenomena in the 21st century

Abstract

          This article aims to present guidelines for developing Thai language communication skills of students in the role of higher education institutions with the changing language phenomena in the 21st century by reviewing relevant documents and research to present on the importance of communication. Problems in communicating in Thai among students as well as suggesting guidelines for development. From the study and analysis of documents, it was found that communication skills are necessary and important skills in life. especially in work which students need to increase their knowledge and ability However, from the current situation of students' Thai language use, it was found that the change in the Thai language phenomenon in the 21st century resulted in the distortion of the Thai language usage until it affected the students' Thai language usage at a high level. Therefore, guidelines for developing students' Thai communication skills. Therefore, it should be started that many institutions should change the content of Thai language courses for communication to be in line with the current situation. Emphasis on application issues according to the situation and context. Apply the concept of learning management by using task-based learning to apply to teaching and learning. and organize extra-curricular activities for students to participate in order to enhance their communication skills in Thai.
