Opinion of Taxi Drivers toward Politic Rallies in Bangkok

Abstract

This research aimed at: examining opinion toward politic rallies and political behaviors of taxi drivers; the relationship between personal status and political behaviors toward politic rallies.

The results showed that:

1. the taxi drivers' general opinion toward public political assembly, the level of opinion was at the "agree" level. If considering each aspect, the taxi drivers rated the most opinion on the arrangement of political speaking stage, and the second most opinion on place, number of people and power of involvement respectively.
2. most of taxi drivers responded to political news by first considering the correctness of the information they obtained. Most of taxi drivers talked about politics with their co-workers, and obtained political news from newspapers. The political opinions and general democratic political ideology were at the unsure level. Their involvement was occasionally.
3. the taxi drivers have different education, response to political news, political communication process, political involvement, selection to receive public media, and democratic political ideology would have different opinion toward politic rallies.
