Influential Factors Affecting the Quality of the Teachers under the Authority of Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The study had the objectives to 1) explore the influential factors affecting the quality of the teachers under the authority of Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 2) identify direct and indirect effects towards the quality of the teachers. The 1,120 samples were drawn from government school teachers under the authority of Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, by using Multi - Stage Sampling. The tools consisted of Five-Point Scale questionnaire, with the reliability of .81. The statistics used for data analysis included mean, S.D., and Structural Equation Model.

The findings revealed that 1) the level of influential factors affecting the quality of the teachers under the authority of Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, was at a high level overall. Arranged the level of each aspect in descending order as follows: School Management (= 4.16), Parents and Community Relation (= 3.96), Teacher’s Individual Aspect (= 3.94), respectively, 2) the discovered causal model of the factors appeared to have direct and indirect effects towards the quality of the teachers and was in line with the empirical data. All the variables exposed the ability to describe the variance of the quality of the teachers up to 90 percent. Parents and Community factors had both direct and indirect effects towards the quality of the teachers, whereas School Management and Teacher’s Individual aspect had only direct effects towards the quality of the teachers. Teacher’s Individual aspect was revealed as the most influential factor from all.
