Abstract

This research was a qualitative research aiming at: 1) studying the basic information on the development of Thai performing arts (Khon) instructional model by integrating anatomical knowledge, in order to enhance the competency of the learners of Thai performing arts (Khon), and 2) developing a Thai performing arts (Khon) instructional model by integrating anatomical knowledge. This research was divided into two phases. Phase 1 focused on the basic information in developing Thai performing arts (Khon) instructional model by integrating anatomical Knowledge, in order to enhance the competency of the learners of the Thai performing arts (Khon). Key informants consisted of ten Thai teachers who had experience in teaching Thai performing arts in Mattayom 1, together with five experts in the field of Thai performing art. The research tool in this phase was a structured interview. Phase 2 was designed on the purpose to develop the model based on the content analysis using the data collected from phase 1.

The findings were discovered that 1) in terms of the basic information on the development of Thai performing arts (Khon), the development should encompass three key aspects including content knowledge of Thai performing arts, skills in Thai performing arts, and characteristics of the learners of Thai performing arts (Khon); 2) Thai performing arts (Khon) instructional model by integrating anatomical knowledge
