The Model for Developing Community Enterprise Leaders on Nutrition through Participation of Local Administrative Organizations in Phetchaburi Province

Abstract

The research aimed to: 1) study the developing factors for community enterprise leaders on nutrition of the local administrative organizations in Phetchaburi province, and 2) create the model for developing the community enterprise leaders on the community nutrition, through the participation and cooperation of local administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province. In quantitative research part, data collection was conducted with 375 samples across the community enterprises registered under Phetchaburi Provincial Agricultural Office. In the qualitative research part, in-depth interview was employed as the tool for the data collection with eight key informants in the community enterprises registered under Phetchaburi Provincial Agricultural Office. The research instrument was a structured interview. The qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis and descriptive report, whereas the quantitative data were analyzed by computing percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The research results were as follows: 1) the factors for developing the community enterprise leaders on the community nutrition of local administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province were rated overall at a high level. When each aspect was considered, it was found that the aspect with the highest mean score was on Skills, followed by Motivation/Attitude, Knowledge, Self-Concept, and Personal Attributes (which came to the lowest mean score of 2), respectively; 2) after having been analyzed and synthesized, the model for developing the community enterprise leaders on the community nutrition, through the participation and cooperation of local administrative organizations in Phetchaburi Province was formed and entitled as "2P2MIF Model".
