Abstract

The purposes of this research was to 1) compare students Vietnamese listening ability before and after using Total Physical Response Method 2) compare students Vietnamese speaking ability before and after using Total Physical Response Method.         The sample group used in this research was consisted of 30 grade 1 students from Satit School of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage, Pathum Thani Province. The subjects were studying in the second semester of academic year 2019. The researchers collected the data from volunteer samples. The instruments used in this research consisted of: 1) lesson plans Vietnamese by using Total Physical Response method, 2) Vietnamese listening comprehension test with a reliability of 0.81, 3) Vietnamese speaking comprehension test with a reliability of 0.87. The data were annalyzed using mean, percentage, standard deviation and t – test.

The research finding were as follows:

  1. Students Vietnamese listening ability after being taught by using Total Physical Response method was significantly higher than before at the 0.05 level of statistical significance.
  2. Students Vietnamese speaking ability after being taught by using Total Physical Response method was significantly higher than before at the 0.05 level of statistical significance.
