การพัฒนาทักษะการทำวิจัยภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนามของนักศึกษาบัณฑิตศึกษา โดยใช้การปฏิบัติการภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนาม

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการทำวิจัยภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนามของนักศึกษาหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาภาษาไทยกับการสื่อสาร โดยใช้การปฏิบัติการภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนาม กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ที่ศึกษาในรายวิชา 411-524 ภาษาศาสตร์เชิงสังคม ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2549 จำนวน 4 คน โดยกำหนดให้ผู้เรียนออกปฏิบัติการภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนาม 2 วัน เพื่อเก็บข้อมูลการใช้คำศัพท์ภาษาไทยถิ่นใต้จำนวน 100 หน่วยอรรถ

เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ แผนการออกปฏิบัติการภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนามรายการคำศัพท์ และแบบประเมินทักษะการทำวิจัยภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าร้อยละ

ผลการศึกษา พบว่า การพัฒนาทักษะการทำวิจัยภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนามของ นักศึกษาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา หลังจากการออกปฏิบัติการภาษาศาสตร์ภาคสนามโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับดี

Development of Graduate Students’ Linguistics Field Research Skill through Linguistics Field Practice

This study was concerned with the development of the linguistic field research skill of graduate students in Thai for Communication Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, through the linguistic field practice. The subjects were four graduate students enrolled in 411-524 (Sociolinguistics) in the first semester of 2006. The course involved a two-day linguistics field practice which required students to collect 100 words of the Southern Thai dialect. The instruments used for data collection were linguistics field research practice schedules, word lists and research skill assessment forms. Mean score and percentage were employed for the analysis of the data. The result showed improvement in the graduate students’ linguistic field research skill after their involvement in the linguistic field practice.
