การใช้ระบบเขียนอักษรยาวีในภาษามลายูปาตานี : ความท้าทายต่อสังคมมลายูในภาวะวิกฤติทางภาษา

Abstract

วิกฤตการณ์ที่ปรากฏขึ้นในสังคมที่ต้องใช้ภาษาแม่เป็นเครื่องมือหลักในการสื่อสาร คือภาวะการสูญหายของภาษาแม่หรือภาษาของชนกลุ่มน้อย ภาษามลายูปาตานีนับเป็นภาษาถิ่นภาษาหนึ่งและเป็นภาษาแม่ของชาวมลายูในสามจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ การศึกษาลักษณะทางภาษาในประเด็นต่างๆ ของภาษานี้ ได้มีการกระทำอย่างต่อเนื่อง อาจด้วยเหตุผลเพื่อเป็นการบันทึกลักษณะที่ปรากฏอยู่ในภาษานี้ให้คนรุ่นหลังได้ศึกษาและเรียนรู้ต่อไปหรือไม่ก็ตาม ในขณะเดียวกันการศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาระบบเขียนภาษามลายูปาตานีด้วยอักษรไทยและอักษรยาวีก็มีการปฏิบัติจนได้ระบบเขียนที่สามารถนำไปใช้ได้ในระดับต่างๆ อย่างไรก็ตามความพยายามในการสร้างระบบเขียนภาษามลายูปาตานีด้วยอักษรยาวีนั้นนับว่าเป็นการริเริ่มให้ความสำคัญที่จะอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูภาษาและวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นอีกแนวทางหนึ่ง และผลลัพธ์ที่ได้มาคือนวัตกรรมใหม่ซึ่งเป็นระบบเขียนภาษามลายู ปาตานีด้วยอักษรยาวี ซึ่งอาจมีความ แตกต่างกับระบบเขียนอักษรยาวีในภาษามลายูมาตรฐานอยู่บ้างเล็กน้อย ส่วนผลที่สืบเนื่องจากความพยายามที่จะใช้ระบบเขียนภาษามลายูด้วยอักษรยาวีก็คือ ความท้าทายต่อสังคมมลายูในการยอมรับระบบเขียนดังกล่าวของผู้ที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องโดยตรงหรือในทางกลับกันระดับต่าง ๆ ตลอดจนเป็นการสร้างจิตสานึกในการรักษาอัตลักษณ์ของสังคมสืบต่อไปThe Usage of the Jawi Alphabet System in Patani Malay: A Challenge to Malay Society in Endangered Languages

A crisis accruing in a society where a mother tongue is used as a key fool for communication is known as language loss of a mother tongue or a minority language. Patani Malay is a dialect and mother tongue of Melayu people in three provinces of the deep south of Thailand. Indeed, various issues of this language have continuously been studied. This may said that remaining feathers of the language have been recorded for further study by young generations. Meanwhile, a development for Jawi orthography system through Thai and Jawi alphabets was studied, so there appeared to be the writing system for usage. However, an attempt to create the writing system in Patani Malay is an initiation of realizing local language and culture maintenance and revival. This results in innovation of Patani Malay writing system via Jawi alphabets although this system appears in a little difference from Standard Malay. In addition, such an attempt leads to a challenge of the Malay society towards either direct or indirect acceptance of the system by relevant persons, and to building up realization of preserving the societal identity.
