มโนทัศน์เรื่องนิพพานในบทกวีนิพนธ์ของอังคาร กัลยาณพงศ์

Abstract

บทความวิจัยนี้มุ่งศึกษามโนทัศน์เรื่องนิพพานในบทกวีนิพนธ์ของ อังคาร กัลยาณพงศ์ เพื่อให้เข้าถึงความหมายและคุณค่าของงานประพันธ์ ซึ่งเป็นพลังสำคัญในการกระตุ้นปัญญาและเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งทางจริยธรรมแก่ยุคสมัย พบว่า อังคารรับภารกิจปลุกจิตสำนึกของบุคคล ด้วยทัศนะเชิงปรัชญาซึ่งเห็นได้ว่าสั่งสมมาในการศึกษาครุ่นคิดและประสบการณ์ที่กล่อมเกลาจากรากวัฒนธรรมพุทธศาสนาในสังคมไทยสารโดยรวมของบทกวีนิพนธ์ในช่วงกว่า 50 ปี ก็คือ ท่ามกลางวิกฤตการณ์ทางสังคมวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งเป็นดังห้วงปัญหาอันใหญ่หลวง มนุษย์มีศักยภาพที่จะออกจากวังวนแห่งวัตถุนิยม และนำตนก้าวข้ามโลกียภูมิสู่โลกุตรภูมิ อันเป็นเป้าหมายที่แท้แห่งชีวิตได้ นั่นคือการเรียนรู้เพื่อกำจัดอวิชชาและเร่งสร้างคุณค่าแท้ในระหว่างเวลาจำกัดแห่งการดำรงอยู่ บนมรรคาสู่นิพพาน บุคคลจำเป็นต้องประจักษ์ถึงความไร้แก่นสารของการเวียนว่ายตายเกิดจนหยั่งปัญญาพิจารณาเห็นโทษภัย เบื่อหน่ายทุกข์ และพากเพียรนำสำเภาทองของชีวิตฝ่าห้วงวัฏสงสารด้วยการบำเพ็ญทศบารมีตามรอยพระโพธิสัตว์ การมุ่งไปยังฟากฝั่งแห่งโมกขธรรมจักสำเร็จได้โดยน้อมนำพระรัตนตรัยเป็นสรณะ และอาศัยกระบวนการไตรสิกขา เรียนรู้ปฏิบัติจนสามารถพัฒนาจิตวิญญาณสู่วิมุตติอังคารแสดงมโนทัศน์อันลุ่มลึกดังกล่าวด้วยความเชื่อมั่นในความดีงามที่มนุษย์จักสร้างทำ อันเป็นเนื้อหาของบทประพันธ์ และนำเสนอวิถีทางซึ่งบุคคลอาจใช้พัฒนาตนและยกระดับจิตใจโลกไปจนถึงจักรวาล กวีอาศัยความจัดเจนทางการประพันธ์นำเสนอเนื้อหา ซึ่งกอปรด้วยพลังปัญญาและอารมณ์อันเข้มข้นลึกซึ้ง โดยใช้วิธีการทางวรรณศิลป์ที่มีพลังกระทบความรู้สึก ปลุกความตื่นตัวทางความคิด และกระตุ้นวิจารณญาณของผู้รับ ดังปรากฏกลวิธีที่โดดเด่นคือ ความเปรียบและสัญลักษณ์ การจัดองค์ประกอบแบบคู่เทียบตรงข้ามการตั้งคำถาม และการสืบขนบการประพันธ์กับการสร้างสรรค์ใหม่ กลวิธีอันแยบคายในการสื่อสารนี้ส่งผลสัมฤทธิ์ต่อการสร้างจินตภาพ ยั่วยุการขบคิดตีความบทกวีนิพนธ์อย่างพินิจพิเคราะห์ และโน้มน้าวให้ผู้รับใคร่ครวญอย่างสวนกระแส สู่ทิศทางที่กวีเชื่อมั่นว่าจักให้ความรอดจากหายนะทั้งในระดับปัจเจกบุคคลและส่วนรวมThe Concept of Nirvana in Angkhan Kalayanaphong’s Poetry

This research aims to study the concept of Nirvana in Angkhan Kalayanaphong’s poetry in order to appreciate its meanings and literary values which are significant forces for intellectual stimulation and ethical fortification in contemporary society. It is found that the poet thinks it is his mission in life to raise people’s consciousness with his philosophical viewpoints derived from constant contemplation and experience shaped by Buddhist culture deep rooted in Thai society. The overall message of his poetry spanning over five decades is that amidst sociocultural crisis which is like a gigantic whirlpool of problems man has a potential to raise himself out of the vortex of materialism and cross over the mundane plane to the supra-mundane sphere to achieve the true purpose of life. That is, man must learn to eradicate ignorance and hasten to establish true values during his limited existence. On the road to Nirvana one must be able to recognize the emptiness of life cycle so thoroughly that one can develop profound wisdom to perceive the harm and boredom resulted from sufferings and to patiently steer his golden vessel of life through the abyss marked by cycles of birth and death by following the footsteps of Bodhisattva in diligently practicing ten virtues. The commitment to reach the bank of Nirvana can be fulfilled by humbly adopting the Triple Gems as guidance as well as study and practice according to the process of Tri-sikha (morality, meditation, and wisdom). One must train himself in all these until he can purify his spirit well enough for Nirvana. With strong faith in the virtues that man will achieve, Angkhan presents such a profound concept as the content of his poetry. He also suggests a means through which one can employ to improve oneself and to raise the spiritual consciousness of the world and even of the universe. This message which is charged with intellectual force and emotional intensity is accentuated by his literary expertise. He chooses poetic devices that are forceful in moving the emotions of the audience, arousing their intellectual alertness, and encouraging their critical judgment. His outstanding literary devices include the use of figurative language and symbols, binary oppositions, queries, and innovative application of literary conventions. These sophisticated communicative strategies are very effective in stimulating his readers to envision imagery, challenging them to interpret his poetry critically, and convincing them to analyze it against main-stream perceptions in order to direct themselves toward the goal that Angkhan believes will help man avoid both personal and collective disasters.
