ชื่อพายุหมุนเขตร้อน : การศึกษาจากมุมมองทางอรรถศาสตร์

Abstract

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อจัดกลุ่มความหมายและวิเคราะห์ความหมายชื่อของพายุหมุนเขตร้อน โดยใช้มุมมองทางอรรถศาสตร์ข้อมูลที่นำมาศึกษาเก็บรวบรวมจากเว็บไซต์กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา (www.tmd.go.th) รวมทั้งหมด140 ชื่อผลการศึกษาแสดงการจัดกลุ่มความหมายของชื่อพายุหมุนเขตร้อนได้ 8 กลุ่มคือ กลุ่ม ความหมายเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ พืช สถานที่ สิ่งเหนือธรรมชาติ คน ลักษณะอาการ สภาพธรรมชาติ และวัตถุสิ่งของ กลุ่มความหมาย 6 กลุ่ม ซึ่งเป็นความหมายเปรียบสะท้อนความคิดเชิงอุปลักษณ์เกี่ยวกับชื่อพายุหมุนเขตร้อน 4 ประการคือ พายุหมุนเขตร้อนเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิต พายุหมุนเขตร้อนเป็นความสวยงาม พายุหมุนเขตร้อนเป็นความ ทรงจำ และพายุหมุนเขตร้อนเป็นสิ่งมีพลังอำนาจ ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ช่วยให้เข้าใจความหมายของชื่อพายุหมุน เขตร้อนและความคิดของผู้ใช้ภาษาในต่างที่ต่างถิ่นได้ดีขึ้นTropical Cyclone Names: A Study from Semantic perspective

This article aims at categorizing and analyzing the meaning of Tropical cyclone names by semantic perspective. 140 names were derived from the Thai Meteorological Department website (www.tmd.go.th). The results show that the meaning of the names of these cyclones can be divided into eight groups: animals, plants, places, fairy tales, storm characteristics, human beings, natural phenomena, and objects. Only the six groups of non-literal meaning reflected six concepts: TROPICAL CYCLONE NAME IS LIFE, TROPICAL CYCLONE NAME IS BEAUTY, TROPICAL CYCLONE NAME IS REMEMBRANCE, and TROPICAL CYCLONE NAME IS POWER. The findings can bring about the meaning of tropical cyclone names and a better understanding of the concept, which is different from other places as well.
