Perspectives on Human Rights in Daily Life: In Life Diary “From Womb to Tomb”, by Puey Ungphakorn

This article aims at reviewing the definition of human rights, significant terms on human rights, linkage between human rights and daily life, including related concepts for instances human dignity, rights, and liberty. Level of human rights as well as relations between human rights and legal rights will also be investigated. This study based on academic textbooks regarding human rights and the Life Diary “From Womb to Tomb” written by Puey Ungphakorn.
The study found that human rights can be defined as legitimate power which inherited to all human beings since they were born. These rights cannot be transferable. Everyone has intrinsic worth of a human person equal to all without discrimination despite differences on nationality, living place, gender, race, color of skin, language, religious belief, age, occupation, political thought, physical health, social status, economic status, or other statuses.
This concept reflects on related significant terms on human rights. In addition, Puey Ungphakorn attempted to illustrate perspectives on human rights in an easy story telling for everyone to understand various aspects of human rights in daily life.
