Abstract

This research aims to study the creation of single Wode Karavek patterns based on the concepts of Master Songsak Prathumsin and to create a single Wode pattern by examining research documents and ideas from Master Songsak Prathumsin. The information obtained from the study is used to establish concepts, inspirations, and create a single Wode pattern. The research findings are as follows: The concepts and inspirations for Master Songsak Prathumsin's creations stem from observing the environment and nature, particularly the intriguing behaviors of animals, such as a beetle flying to pollinate flowers, moving back and forth, up and down, which then serve as inspiration and imagination to creatively formulate melodies. Some tunes arise from listening and remembering to re-arrange anew. The process of creating, composing melodies in Master Songsak Prathumsin's style arises from imagining and remembering through a process of thinking and analyzing, by using the mouth to produce sounds and then playing it on a musical instrument according to the conceived melody. Once satisfied with the melody, it is then recorded in notes. The creation of the single Wode pattern for Wode Karavek relies on the concepts and inspirations, as well as the creative process following the guidelines of Master Songsak Prathumsin, studying the original verses of the Karavek bird from literature to create imaginations, concepts, and establishing structures to create the Vod Kavek pattern.
