Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1. To search for knowledge about the teaching and learning of jazz guitar practice courses to develop creative thinking that is standard and suitable for bachelor education at the higher education level; and 2. to find the efficiency of the jazz guitar practice course for developing creativity created by the researcher. The research tools were as questionnaire and interview form on the process of teaching jazz guitar practice for developing creative skills 2. Set of teaching jazz guitar practice for developing creative skills

The research results can be divided into 2 items as follows: 1. From the study of jazz guitar practice education management at the higher education level from interviews with jazz guitar practice teachers in higher education institutions in teaching and learning in the field of jazz guitar practice. Jazz music can be divided into 4 aspects: (1) knowledge of basic jazz theory (2) knowledge of jazz guitar practice and improvisation. (3) Media and equipment for teaching and learning in aspect (4) Assessment and Evaluation 2. To create a teaching package for jazz guitar practice to develop creative skills, content topics for creating a teaching package can be defined as follows: (1) Swing Rhythm Practice (2) 12 Bar Blues (3) Chord Tone (4) Basic Improvisation (5) Blues-Jazz
