Abstract

the creation of Isan music is developing very quickly in the current. both conservative creations and contemporary creations or even experimental creations. There is a technology system that makes the creation of work more diverse, but on the contrary, academic work is rarely in the creative field. Therefore, there is no balance between creativity and knowledge that goes into explaining the work. This article, therefore, aims to propose guidelines for academically creative Isan folk music. The author's proposed methods for creative research in art, Practice as Research, Practice-based Research, and Practice-led Research. This is a new research method that emphasizes practice in the process of creating creative pieces. Creativity and research is the process of researching and analyzing information systematically. To create innovations in sound and new knowledge in Isan folk music. for the benefit of both the artist's creative work and the benefits to the academic in the future.
