Abstract

Possibility of misunderstanding between academic-based conflict and social-based conflict is likely to happen, especially in Thai society context, because general laymen would understand and judge conflict incidents as disagreement, argument, or even being enemies while academic-based conflict, especially that is related to organizational administration, conflict is just the matter of different viewpoints on issues needed decisions or actions of the organizations, based on different ideas, beliefs, or experiences of each person. This is crucial foundation concepts of conflict management that administrators and personnel should understand and differentiate in order to successfully manage conflict in organization. This is the objective of this article, which focus on understanding conflict, causes, and guidelines for conflict management in organizations.
