POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF HIGHER VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE STUDENTS, NAKHONSITHAMMARAT TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Abstract

The objectives of this thematic paper were as follows. 1) To study the political participation of higher vocational certificate students, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical college. 2) To compare the political participation of higher vocational certificate students, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical college in terms of average grades, class levels, parents occupations and parents monthly incomes as differently. And 3) To study the suggestion on problem and resolution on political participation of higher vocational certificate students, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical college. There are about 917 persons, sample size with Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were about 274 persons. Data collection by questionnaire. The statistics were applied as follows; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, (t-test), one way ANOVA (F-test). and LSD method.

The findings were as follows.

1. 1. The political participation of higher vocational certificate students, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical college by overview was at more level when considered in each aspect found that the aspect of political news following was the highest mean and followed up the aspect of election campaign and election right play and the aspect of political activity participation was the lowest mean respectively, classified in terms of average grades, class levels, parents occupations and parents monthly incomes found that there were at more level.


2. 2. The comparative results on political participation of higher vocational certificate students, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical college in terms of average grades, class levels, parents occupations and parents monthly incomes found that there were different as statistically significance at .05.


3. 3. The highest frequency of problem found that the aspect of political activity participation i.e. some of them thought that speaking on politics were cased of conflict. The highest frequency of resolution was the aspect of political activity participation i.e. there should promote conversation on politics with public stage of college.
