PEOPLE’S PARTICIPATION IN THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN MAKING OF THARAI SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUEANG DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this thematic paper were as follows 1) To study the people’s participation in local development plan making of Tharai sub-district administrative organization, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province 2) To study the suggestion on problem and resolution on development plan making of of Tharai sub-district administrative organization, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The population were composed of people who live in Tharai subdistrict, There are 6,439 persons, samples size with Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were about 361 persons. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire both closed-open ended questions. Data analysis by package computer program. The statistics were applied with frequency, percentage, arithemetic mean.


The findings were as follows:


  1. The people’s participation in local development plan making of Tharai sub-district administrative organization, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province by overview were at moderate level when considered in each found that the aspect of steak holder participation was the highest  mean and followed by operation participation aspect, dicision participation aspect as assessment aspect was the lowest mean respectively, when classified in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations, monthly incomes and matters of contact found that by overviews were at moderate level.

          2. The suggestions on problem and resolution in local development plan making of Tharai sub-district administrative organization, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The highest frequency was on the aspect of steak holder participation i.e. not enough of lighting on the road in the village and to be risked for accident and crime.  The resolution found that the aspect of steak holder participation i.e. there should have more lighting on the road especially on the risk places as enoung as possible
