THE BEHAVIOR OF SMALL VEHICLES DRIVERS ON HUATHANONSANAMKILA ROAD NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this thematic paper were as follows: 1) To study behaviors of small vehicles drivers on Huathanon Sanamkila road, in Nakhon Si Thammarat province as perceived by passengers. 2)To find out the recommendation which can solve any problems regarding small vehicles driver's behavior. on the route servicing Huathanon Sanamkila road, Nakhon Si Thammarat province from the comments of passengers using the service There were 370 passengers participating in this study. The data collection instruments were close-ended questionnaires and open-ended questionnaires. The data was analyzed by an instant computer program. The statistics were used in data analysis comprising of Frequency, Percentage, mean.

The research results were found that:

The behavior of small vehicles drivers on Huathanon Sanamkila road,Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Overall was moderate. When considering in each aspect found of Service are highest mean, followed up by the Environment. The Safety had the lowest mean. When considering by Gender, Age, Occupation that found overall are moderate. Classified by Education level that found that overall the Elementary at high level. The other Education level is moderate. Classified by Revenues per month. Overall, level 4000 – 6000 Bath per month at high level.  The other Revenues per month level is moderate. The suggestions were concerned with problems and the way to promote the behaviors of small vehicles drivers on Huathanon Sanamkila road,Nakhon Si Thammarat province. That found the safety part had the most comments. The small vehicles driver is overtaking another vehicle not careful. The promote ways found to training is provided to the operator about the etiquettes of driving safely.
