Dialogue as Peace Innovation: State of Knowledge and Recommendations

Abstract

This research article aims to present the innovation of the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP). This research uses a documentary research method to interpret data to synthesize with an innovation framework. The results showed that IHRP's dialogue is an innovation that can be used to solve problems in the southern border areas. It has produced outcomes and impacts on the individual, community, and organizational levels. It has served the community widely. This research article has 4 recommendations: 1) Dialogue needs to continually educate society; 2) IHRP should develop personnel in the next generation to be professionals in dialogue innovation. 3) IHRP formulates a strategy for proactive dialogue on issues that are in line with the needs of the community 4) Creating re-innovations through knowledge management to improve or enhance innovation.
