Education Management for Sustainable Development: From Expectations to the Future

Abstract

   This article aims to explore the concepts and theories of education sustainable development, as well as to investigate international strategies in educational sustainable. Specifically, it discusses the beginnings of educational development and reform in the United States, sustainable development, and education sustainable development. It examines patterns and pathways to success in educational management for sustainable development: lessons from the United Kingdom to Thailand. The conclusion seeks to pave the way for reforming Thai education towards a more sustainable future on the global stage. The most significant issue in the current era is how to preserve global resources while simultaneously developing wealth and improving living standards for an increasing population. This grand mission is defined within the framework of sustainable development. Over the past 30 years, the global community has agreed to address sustainable development through international treaties. Education for sustainable development has been introduced as a response to these challenges. The outcomes of sustainable educational development can genuinely be imparted to students in terms of fostering sustainability consciousness.
