Abstract
From the case study of Meechai Pattana School, Buriram province, the research finds a student-centered liberal education, as envisioned by John Dewey’s Empiricism, through pedagogy constructed around hand-on and direct experience. On the idea of liberty and equality, the school teaching cultivates on humanistic view of human dignity, equal intrinsic values, and charity. For the impact of political changes on the idea of liberty and equality, the research does not find significant effects to the school, as it aims to nurture students with holistic growth in good moral and rational intelligent, to become good citizens in democratic society.
