Factors Related to the Research Period of Researchers in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

Abstract

This research aims to study factors related to the research period of researchers in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. four kinds of factors were studied in this research, namely researcher factors, budget factors,  research venue and research equipment factors, and research results factors, by using data in the budgetary year of 2019. The target group comprised 109 people. A questionnaire was used as a research tool, and the validity of each question was checked using the Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC). Statistical methods including discrete data, percentages, mean, and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. The research found that of the budget factors, the rate of remuneration scored at the highest level (4.82); of the researcher-related factors,  complicated processes for reimbursement scored at the highest level (3.89); of the research results factors, the research time not following the plan scored at the highest level (3.72);  of the research venue and research equipment factors, information technology systems that are advanced and up to date, capable of accessing a wide range of data scored at the highest level (3.67). Therefore, it can be concluded that the factors that can make the research finish on time are the rate of remuneration, the process for reimbursement, conducting activities according to plan, and up-to-date information technology systems. Moreover, these results concerning the factors will be presented to the management board.
