บทคัดย่อ

เป็นที่รู้กันโดยทั่วไปว่า คำบุพบท ของ มีความหมายบ่งบอกถึงความเป็นเจ้าของ หรือมีหน้าที่แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ ความสัมพันธ์ที่มักถูกนึกถึงเมื่อผู้ใช้ภาษาไทยได้ยินคำว่า “ความเป็นเจ้าของ” คือการมีกรรมสิทธิ์ในสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง เช่น รถยนต์ของฉัน อย่างไรก็ดี ความเป็นเจ้าของในทางภาษาศาสตร์มีความหมายครอบคลุมกว้างกว่านั้น จุดประสงค์ของบทความนี้คือเพื่อระบุความสัมพันธ์ทางอรรถศาสตร์ระหว่างผู้ครอบครองกับสิ่งที่ ถูกครอบครองโดยใช้ข้อมูลจากคลังข้อมูลภาษาไทยแห่งชาติในพระราชูปถัมภ์สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี (Thai National Corpus) จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 2,700 ตัวอย่าง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความสัมพันธ์ทางอรรถศาสตร์ระหว่างผู้ครอบครองกับสิ่งที่ถูกครอบครองที่แสดงด้วยคำบุพบท ของ สามารถแบ่งได้อย่างน้อย 7 แบบ ได้แก่ 1) กรรมสิทธิ์ในสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง 2) ส่วน-มนุษย์ 3) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคล 4) ความสัมพันธ์แบบส่วนย่อย-ส่วนใหญ่ 5) คุณลักษณะของสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง 6) ความสัมพันธ์แบบการกระทำ-ผู้กระทำ และ 7) หัวข้อของสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง
