Development of Group Counseling Competencies to Enhance Resilience among the Elderly for Student Teachers at Rajabhat University through Psychological Training

Abstract
This research article aimed to 1) develop a psychological training program to develop group counseling competencies to enhance resilience among elderly student teachers and 2) compare counseling competencies to enhance resilience among the elderly student teachers who participated in psychological training programs before, after, and follow-up. The sample used in this study consisted of two groups. The first group used to find the guidelines for psychological training program development included eight academicians, and the second group used in the experiment included eight student teachers at Rajabhat University. The instruments consisted of counseling competencies to enhance resilience among the elderly for student teachers assessment form and psychological training program, the program quality was at the highest level (M=4.73, SD=0.48). The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and repeated measure analysis of variance. The results of this research were as follows: 1) psychological training program to develop group counseling competencies to enhance the resilience of the elderly for student teachers at Rajabhat University consisted of 14 activities, had the application of group counseling theory, and 2) student teachers who participated in psychological training program had counseling competencies to enhance the resilience of the elderly before, after and follow-up was a significant difference at the .05 level.
