Development of Teaching Practice in Educational Institutions Based on Teaching Professional Competency Manual: A Case Study of the Faculty of Education Uttaradit Rajabhat University

The objectives of this article research were 1) to analyze the confirmatory factor analysis of practices in educational institutions based on teaching professional competencies; and 2) to develop them based on the teaching professional competency manual. The population consisted of 816 people, including 80key informants. The data collection instruments were a questionnaire and an interview protocol. The statistical methods used in this study included mean, standard deviation, confirmatory factor analysis, and content analysis.
The research results can be summarized as follows:
- Professional teaching competency comprised three dimensions: (1) learning management, (2) relationships with parents and the community, and (3) teacher duties and professional ethics. The confirmatory factor analysis showed χ² = 271.193, df = 136, and χ²/df = 1.994, indicating that the model fit the empirical data.
- The developed competency-based teaching practicum handbook consisted of three sections: (1) an introduction, (2) professional teaching competency assessment instruments, and (3) teaching practicum performance reporting.
