Abstract

          This research aimed to study the success factors in the mediation process of the community mediation centers, study the problems and obstacles in the mediation process of the community mediation centers, and provide recommendations for promoting the mediation process of the community mediation centers. This study is a qualitative research work that uses the disciplines of documentary research and interviews with the samples who are key informants, including policymakers in the mediation work, qualified persons in mediation, and those involved in the implementation level, totaling 16 people. The data is categorized, find out the relevance and differences of the data, and descriptive data analysis is used.

          The results of the study found that 1) The success factors in the arbitration process of the community mediation centers consist of personal factors, namely the arbitrator and the participants in the arbitration process (claimant / partner), environmental factors, namely personnel, management, location. And the communication and process factors include the main procedural process and the supporting process, which is an important part of the successful arbitration. 2) Problems and obstacles in the mediation process of the community mediation centers include personnel, materials, management and coordination and publicity. 3) Suggest guidance on promoting the dispute settlement process, which should be monitored and evaluated for the performance of the community mediation centers; To lead to the determination of the support direction appropriate to the current situation, personnel development taking into account the diversity of skill levels and potential. And give incentives to encourage the further development of the work of the community mediation centers
