Promoting Innovativeness through Community-Based Learning Management Combined with Collaborative Skills and Integration of Local Wisdom: "Hom Hug Ya Nang Leaf Shampoo, Sapan" for Grade 5 Students at Ban Sapan School, Nan Province

This research aimed to 1) compare students’ academic achievement before and after instruction, 2) evaluate their innovator characteristics following community-based learning, 3) assess their collaborative working skills, 4) and investigate their satisfaction with a learning management approach combining the community-based learning and collaborative working skills. The study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of fifteen grade 5 students at the Ban Sapan School, located in Nan province, selected through totalsampling. The research instruments included: 1) a learning management plan utilizing a community-based learning approach integrated with collaborative working skills and local wisdom, under the instructional unit titled “Hom Hug Ya Nang Leaf Shampoo, Sapan”; 2) an academic achievement test; 3) an innovator characteristics assessment form; 4) a collaborativeworking skills evaluation form; and 5) a student satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used in this research are mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
As the results, 1) students’ academic achievement after learning was higher than before learning. 2) Students’ innovativeness, as a whole, was at a good level. 3) Students’collaborative working skills were also at a good level overall. And 4) students’ satisfaction towards the learning management approach integrating community-based learning with collaborative working skills and local wisdom was rated at the highest level.
