A Study of Public Satisfaction with the Service Quality Provided by of Local Government Agencies in Mueang District, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

     This research article had the following objectives: 1) to study public satisfaction with the service quality provided by local government agencies in Mueang District, Nonthaburi province; 2) to analyze the factors influencing the public satisfaction; and 3) to propose recommendations for improving and enhancing the efficiency of the service quality. This study employed a qualitative research approach, utilizing documentary research and in-depth interviews. Key informants consisted of 50 residents living in Mueang District, Nonthaburi Province. Content analysis was used to analyze the data.

           The research findings were below.

           1) Most residents reported a moderate to good level of satisfaction; 2) Factors influencing the public satisfaction with the service quality  provided by the local government included: waste collection and management, environmental care, and public health services; and 3) Recommendations for improving and enhancing its efficiency were: (1) Increasing waste collection points in remote areas, improving the punctuality of waste collection services, promoting household waste separation and recycling, and establishing a systematic approach to hazardous waste management; (2) Raising public awareness of the importance of environmental conservation, encouraging tree planting on private property, and enhancing the management of waste disposal in public areas; and (3) Increasing the number of medical personnel and equipment, improving emergency services, enhancing the capacity to accommodate patients, and strengthening the management of epidemic control.
