A Study of the Characteristics of Teachers’ Spirituality in the 21st Century, Education Students, Uttaradit Rajabhat University

The purposes of this research were to study the characteristics of teachers’ spirit in the 21st century of the education students at Uttaradit Rajabhat University. The research employed a survey research. The sample consisted of 306 students at the Faculty of Education at Uttaradit Rajabhat University. The research instrument was a questionnaire on students' opinions using both quantitative and qualitative methods for data collections. The statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results showed that the overall characteristics of teachers’ spirit in the 21st century, as identified by the educational students at Uttaradit Rajabhat University, were rated at a high level. By ranking the characteristics with the highest mean scores, the top five ones were: dedication and pride in the teaching profession, technological competence, compassion, a strong desire for lifelong learning, and serving as a positive role model. Furthermore, other characteristics rated at a high level, in descending order of mean score, included: honesty, fairness, perseverance, selflessness, responsibility, caring and supportive nature, and ability to facilitate student learning.
