Cultivation and Development of The Potential of Social Engineers of Songkhla Rajabhat University Students

Abstract

     The research article’s objectives were : 1) to cultivate social engineering skills among Songkhla Rajabhat University students, and 2) to enable social engineers to integrate knowledge or create innovations to solve community problems. This study employed both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The population consisted of 102 students. The research utilized a training model on social engineering tools and collected quantitative data from questionnaires to evaluate training satisfaction and assess knowledge gained before and after training. Open-ended questionnaires were used to reflect on each social engineering tool. The research team analyzed data using frequency statistics, percentages, means, and standard deviations, and tested hypotheses using T-Test. Students conducted fieldwork to apply the tools and knowledge gained from the training to solve problems and develop communities, with qualitative data collected through Participatory Action Research (PAR). The research findings revealed that: 1) Participants reported high overall satisfaction with the training process for using various tools. The assessment of knowledge and understanding from participation in activities showed that after training, students had significantly increased knowledge and understanding in each practical activity using various tools at the 0.01 significance level. 2) Trained social engineers conducted field operations by integrating knowledge or creating innovations to solve community problems, practicing skills as thinkers, communicators, coordinators, and community innovation creators.
