Abstract

         The research article’s objectives were to study the self-development needs of operational personnel and to provide policy recommendations for promoting their development at the College of Media, Arts, and Technology, Chiang Mai University. This quantitative research was conducted through a survey method. The population consisted of 58 operational staff members at the College, completing the survey. The data were analyzed using statistical software to calculate the percentage, standard deviation (SD); and hypothesis testing was performed using Independent Samples T-Test and One-Way ANOVA, with statistical significance set at sig <0.05. The study showed that the relationship, between the self-development needs of the operational staff and personal factors, such as staff type and the need for development through study visits, was statistically significant with a p-value < 0.05. Additionally, the relationship, between self-development needs and the duration of employment in relation to the need for further education, was statistically significant with a p-value < 0.05. The self-development needs consisted of the highest demand for the development of technological proficiency, followed by a high demand for training. Policy recommendations are planning for training and development, budget planning, and evaluation planning.
