หนังใหญ่ร่วมสมัยวัดบ้านดอน: อัตลักษณ์ที่ภาคภูมิและยั่งยืน

Abstract

จุดมุ่งหมายของงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้คือการสร้างจริยธรรมที่เหมาะสมให้แก่คณะหนังใหญ่ วัดบ้านดอน ผ่านกระบวนการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อให้เกิดอัตลักษณ์ที่ภาคภูมิและยั่งยืน งานวิจัยนี้ประกอบด้วยกระบวนการ 3 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) ขยายองค์ความรู้และสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่คณะหนังใหญ่เพื่อให้เกิดวิสัยทัศน์ที่กว้างขึ้น ส่งผลให้สามารถเลือกเฟ้นองค์ประกอบต่างๆ เพื่อมาสร้างสรรค์การแสดงได้เหมาะสมขึ้น มีเอกลักษณ์ มากขึ้นและมีแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์งานมากขึ้น 2) สร้างตัวอย่างการแสดงร่วมกันระหว่างทีมนักวิจัยซึ่งเป็นนักวิชาการด้านศิลปะการละคร นาฏศิลป์ไทย/สากล และดนตรีกับคณะหนังใหญ่วัดบ้านดอน อันประกอบด้วย ผู้เชิด นักดนตรี และผู้พากย์ หนังใหญ่ โดยนำไปจัดแสดงจริงตามสถานที่ที่มีกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลากหลาย กระบวนการนี้ มุ่งเน้นให้คณะหนังใหญ่เรียนรู้วิธีการสร้างการแสดงที่มีกรอบความคิดชัดเจน สร้างสรรค์ และเป็นระบบ 3) สนับสนุนให้ชาวคณะหนังใหญ่นำองค์ความรู้ที่ได้มาทดลองสร้างสรรค์ การแสดงร่วมสมัยด้วยตนเองเพื่อหาวิธีการที่เหมาะสมกับคณะและสามารถพัฒนางานแสดงต่อไปได้ในอนาคต

หลังจากทำการวิจัยเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว ผู้วิจัยพบว่าชาวคณะหนังใหญ่วัดบ้านดอนสามารถร่วม กระบวนการต่างๆ กับคณะวิจัยได้เป็นอย่างดี มีความเข้าใจในองค์ความรู้ด้านการเชิดหนังและกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์การแสดงร่วมสมัย และสามารถนำไปสร้างสรรค์งานที่มีเอกลักษณ์ของตนได้อย่างเหมาะสม นอกจากนี้ ชาวคณะหนังใหญ่ยังตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของกระบวนการการทำงานร่วมกันอย่างมีวินัยและเป็นระบบมากขึ้น ซึ่งสามารถสรุปได้ว่าการสร้างสรรค์งานอย่างมีจริยธรรมนั้นสามารถช่วยให้ศิลปินมีวิสัยทัศน์ที่ชัดเจนสร้างอัตลักษณ์ที่เหมาะสมและมีแนวโน้มที่จะสร้างความยั่งยืนให้แก่ศิลปะของตนต่อไปได้

Wat Ban Don Contemporary Shadow Puppet Play: Strengthening Its Self-Respect & Sustainable Identity

The aim of this research is to create a contemporary context for the grand shadow puppet of Wat Ban Don Group through the creative process in order to reach its proud and sustainable identity. The process consists of three steps: First, expanding the knowledge base and inspiration for the group to gain a wider perception that shall assist the group to choose what suits their performance and gradually build up their identity with passion. Second, creating a model performance with the research team includes theatre scholars and an art administrator to perform in various venues. These processes strictly focus on working with a clear conceptual framework and freedom of thought. Third, encouraging the Nang Yai group to produce and manage their own original work in order to find the most appropriate methods and be able to work on their own in the future.

After the research was completed, I found that the Nang Yai Wat Ban Don group had worked nicely with the research team. The result is they have gained enough knowledge and understanding to be able to select more suitable choices for their contemporary performance. Moreover, they are more aware of the importance of the creative process and effective management. It can be concluded that the theatre process can help the artists find the right choices to create a sustainable identity for their arts.
