Waste Management for Sustainable Environmental Impact Reduction in Large Construction Projects in Bangkok

This research aims to examine factors influencing sustainable waste management in large construction projects. This research employs quantitative research; the sample consists of personnel from large construction companies working on construction sites. The researcher selected large construction companies operating on projects during the research period. The sample size was determined using a criterion of 20 times the number of observed variables. With 16 observed variables, the sample size was 320 people, selected through accidental sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data collection by sending questionnaires to personnel at the supervisory level and above in five large construction projects. Data analysis employed structural equation modeling (SEM).
The research findings revealed that internal waste management within construction projects has the most significant overall influence on sustainable waste management of large construction projects, followed by government and private sector support, and the use of technology and innovation in waste management, respectively.
