The objectives of this research were to: (1) examine school administrators’ academic leadership in the digital era, (2) investigate the implementation of internal quality assurance in schools, (3) analyze the relationship between academic leadership in the digital era and internal quality assurance practices, (4) develop a prediction equation, (5) propose guidelines for enhancing academic leadership, and (6) evaluate the proposed development guidelines. A mixed-methods approach was employed. The research instruments were questionnaires and focus group discussions. The sample consisted of 314 administrators and teachers. Nine focus group informants participated. Data were collected through questionnaires and group discussions and were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings indicated that
- The School Administrator’s academic leadership in the digital era obtained their academic leadership in high level.
- The operation of internal quality assurance in schools, found that in overall, was in high level.
- The academic leadership’s determination of vision, development and personnel encouragement, technological support for education, curriculum administration, and supervision were key factors in achieving educational success.
- Stepwise multiple regression found that regression equation was = 1.144 + 0.408( ) + 0.244( ) + 0.223( ) and standardized score was = 0.489(Z1) + 0.288(Z5) + 0.264(Z3).
- The development method indicated that administrators should determine flexible vision followed by policy: developing student’s database for the technological encouragement and creating supervision system in real time for decreasing redundancy work.
- Appropriateness assessment of the School Administrator’s academic leadership in the digital era’s the development method was in the highest level.
