Burnout among Excise Department Officials in Region 9

This research aimed to 1) study the working environment factors of the Excise Department officers in Region 9, 2) study their health and lifestyle factors, and 3) study their social factors of Excise officers in Region 9. The research design was quantitative. The sample consisted of 244 excise officers working in Region 9. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were collected online (Google Forms). Data were analyzed using basic statistics, including percentages, means, and Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient.
The research results found that 1) work environment factors were at a low level, with a mean score of 2.23 and a standard deviation of 0.88. The sample viewed compensation, workload, and overtime as key factors reflecting staff work pressure. 2) Health and lifestyle factors were at a low level, with a mean score of 1.77 and a standard deviation of 0.80. The majority of the sample viewed them as not being too severe. However, the daily-life impact of sleep quality and minor illnesses should be prioritized, which may be linked to workload and working conditions. 3) Social factors were at a low level, with a mean score of 2.71 and a standard deviation of 1.35. The majority of the sample viewed them as at a low level, particularly the lack of significant colleagues providing emotional support and encouragement, which may contribute to feelings of isolation and increase the risk of burnout.
