A Study of Strategic Leadership of School Administrators Affects the of Education Quality at Private Schools in the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area 3

Abstract

          This research article aimed to: 1) examine the level of strategic leadership of school administrators at private schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3; 2) investigate the level of their educational quality; and 3) examine their strategic leadership. This study employed a survey research design. The sample consisted of 201 school administrators and teachers from the private schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The research instrument was an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.

           The findings revealed that:

           1) The overall strategic leadership of the school administrators was at a high level (  = 4.19, S.D. = 0.48), with organizational direction setting showing the highest mean (  = 4.24, S.D. = 0.49), while strategy formulation had the lowest mean (  = 4.15, S.D. = 0.47)

           2) The overall educational quality of  the private schools was at a high level ( = 4.23, S.D. = 0.57), with learner quality showing the highest mean ( = 4.26, S.D. = 0.58), followed by school management quality ( = 4.22, S.D. = 0.57) and learning management quality (  = 4.22, S.D. = 0.56)

           3) The strategic leadership of the school administrators was a significant predictor of educational quality at the private schools under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 at the .01 level of statistical significance. The multiple correlation coefficient was .868, and the strategic leadership variables jointly explained 75.40% of the variance in educational quality (R² = .754).
