Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of School Administration at the Special Schools for Students with Disabilities under the Office of Special Education Administration, Group 6

This research article aimed to study: 1) the level of factors related to school effectiveness, 2) the level of effectiveness of school administration, and 3) the factors affecting the effectiveness of school administration at the special education schools for students with disabilities under the Office of Special Education Administration, Group 6. This was a quantitative research study. The sample consisted of 219 school administrators and teachers. The research instruments included a general information questionnaire, a questionnaire on factors affecting school effectiveness, and a questionnaire on the effectiveness of school administration. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that: 1) the factors related to the effectiveness of educational institutions for the special needs schools under the Special Education Administration Office, Group 6, were found to be at a high level overall ( = 4.50, S.D. = 0.24); 2) the effectiveness of school administration in special education schools for students with disabilities, under the Office of Special Education Administration, Group 6, was found to be at a high level overall ( = 4.41, S.D. = 0.23); and 3) the factors affecting the effectiveness of school administration at the special education schools for the students with disabilities under the Office of Special Education Administration, Group 6, were: physical factors (β = 0.456), administrator factors (β = 0.179), teacher factors (β = 0.163), and student factors (β = 0.163). These four factors were statistically significant at the 0.05 level and collectively predicted 33.60% of the variance in the effectiveness of school administration in these special education schools for students with disabilities.
