This research aimed to 1) examine the level of academic leadership of school administrators, 2) investigate the level of internal supervision processes, and 3) study the academic leadership affecting the internal supervision processes at the schools under Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 291 administrators and teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.
The results revealed that 1) the academic leadership was overall at the highest level. When the aspects were ranked according to their mean scores from highest to lowest, supervision, monitoring, follow-up, and evaluation emerged as the highest-rated aspect, followed by curriculum management, creating a learning atmosphere, promoting and developing personnel, and vision setting, respectively; 2) the internal supervision processes was at the highest level. When ranked from highest to lowest mean, the aspects were internal supervision planning, supervision implementation, media and instrument development, evaluation and reporting, and current conditions and needs; and 3) the academic leadership factors affecting internal supervision processes in schools under the Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 included promoting and developing personnel, supervision, monitoring, follow-up and evaluation, curriculum management, and vision setting. The aspect of creating a learning atmosphere did not affect the internal supervision processes. These variables could jointly explain 81.20 percent of the variance. The regression equation in standardized score form was as follows:
ZY =.140Z1 + .146Z2 + .308Z3 + .296Z5
