Management Skills of Administrators Affecting the Effectiveness of academic Administration at the Schools under Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area office 2

The purposes of this research were to study: 1) the levels of administrative skills of school administrators and the effectiveness of academic administration in schools; 2) the relationship between the administrative skills of school administrators and the effectiveness of academic administration in schools; 3) the predictive power of the administrative skills of school administrators affecting the effectiveness of academic administration; and 4) guidelines for developing administrative skills enhancing the effectiveness of academic administration in schools.The study employed a quantitative research approach. The sample consisted of 308 participants. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings were as follows:
1) The overall level of administrative skills of school administrators was at a high level. The overall effectiveness of academic administration in schools was at the highest level.
2)The administrative skills of school administrators were highly positively correlated with the effectiveness of academic administration in schools.
3) The administrative skills of school administrators in terms of educational and instructional skills and conceptual skills significantly predicted the effectiveness of school academic administration. These two variables accounted for 62.50 percent of the variance in the effectiveness of school academic administration, with a standard error of estimate of 0.30187. Predictive equation written in raw scores:Y´ = 1.867 + .405(X4) + .216(X3) and the predictive equation written in standardized scores: Z´y = .521(Z4) + .285(Z3)
4) The guidelines for developing the administrative skills of school administrators affecting the effectiveness of school academic administration comprised two key skills: educational and instructional skills and conceptual skills. A total of 18 development guidelines were identified. Overall, the guidelines were rated at the high level of appropriateness and feasibility.
