Abstract

          This research article aimed to: 1) examine the conceptual framework of school administrators’ competency in the BANI World; 2) investigate the current and desirable states of school administrators’ competency in the BANI World; 3) assess the priority needs for developing school administrators’ competency in the BANI World; and 4) evaluate the development guidelines for enhancing school administrators’ competency in the BANI World. This study employed a survey research design. The sample consisted of 335 participants. The research instruments included: 1) an evaluation form for assessing the appropriateness of the competency components of school administrators in the BANI World; 2) a questionnaire on the needs assessment for competency development; and 3) an evaluation form for assessing the appropriateness and feasibility of the proposed development guidelines. Data were collected through research instruments administered via Google Forms. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the modified Priority Needs Index.

           The research findings revealed that

           1) The conceptual framework of school administrators’ competency in the BANI World consisted of six components: resilience, intuition, adaptability, empathy, transparency building, and mindfulness. All components were rated at the highest level of appropriateness.

           2) The current state of school administrators’ competency in the BANI World was at a high level overall, whereas the desirable state was at the highest level overall.

           3) The Needs Assessment for developing school administrators’ competency in the BANI World showed that the overall PNImodified was 0.1964.

           4) The guidelines for developing school administrators’ competency in the BANI World focused on empathy, adaptability, and resilience. Overall, the guidelines were rated at the highest level in terms of appropriateness and feasibility.
