This academic article aimed to study the driving approach for the Sub-district Democracy Development Promotion Centers in Phichit province by examining documents, books, textbooks, laws, and related research.
The driving approach for the Sub-district Democracy Promotion Centers in Phichit Province was to implement the Effective and concrete policy into actions. This initiative aimed to draft an integrated plan for fostering quality citizenship at the district level by enhancing the capacity of Sub-district Democracy Promotion Centers and their democratic networks. The goal was to equip them with accurate knowledge and understanding of the democratic system under a constitutional monarchy, including political participation and the ability to design democracy promoting activities tailored to the local context. These efforts were intended to strengthen the centers’ capacity to effectively disseminate accurate knowledge about the democratic governance and cultivate quality citizens across sub-districts and villages. However, the Sub-district Democracy Promotion Centers in Phichit Province encountered challenges such as limited resources, budget constraints, insufficient public participation, and a lack of operational continuity. Despite these limitations, the centers continued to play a crucial role in disseminating knowledge about democracy and the rights and duties of citizens. Their development was essential to establish them as a key mechanism for sustainably promoting democracy at the grassroots level.
