A study of the Components of 21th Century Competencies of School Administrators

The objective of This research article aims to study the components of competencies for the administrators in the 21st century. It was conducted as a qualitative study through two steps: 1) synthesizing the components of competencies for The administrators in the 21st century from 10 sources of documents and research, selecting components with a frequency of 5 or 50%, and 2) evaluating the appropriateness of the components of competencies for administrators in the 21st century by 5 experts. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a 5-level rating scale, consisting of 3 main parts: 1) basic information of the experts, including position, educational background, and work experience, 2) opinions on the appropriateness of the components of competencies for administrators in the 21st century, and 3) opinions on the appropriateness of indicators for the components of competencies for administrators in the 21st century.
The research findings revealed that the components of competencies for educational administrators consist of 6 components: 1) self-development, 2) teamwork, 3) use of information technology in work, 4) good service, 5) visionary leadership, and 6) achievement orientation.
