The Study of Relationship between the Transformational Leadership of School Aadministrators and the Professional Learning Communities in the 21st Century at the Schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of transformational leadership of school administrator under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, 2) to study the level of learning communities in the 21stcentury of schools in the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 and 3) to study the relationship between the transformational leadership of administrator and the professional learning communities in the 21st century at the schools in the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. It was a quantitative research approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 310 teachers the schools undet the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The research instrument composed of questionnaires about the transformational leadership of the school administrator and professional learning communities in the 21st century. Data were analyzed by using mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (r).
The results of the research showed that: 1) transformational leadership of the school administrator was at a high level ( = 4.40, S.D. = 0.67). 2) Professional learning community in the 21st century was at a high level ( = 4.45, S.D.= 0.64). 3) Transformational leadership of school administrator had highly positive corelation with professional learning communities in the 21st century (r = 0.66) at a statistical significance at the .01 level.
