Innovative Leadership by School Administrators Affecting Motivation of Teachers and Educational Personnel at the Schools under the Local Administrative Organization in Nan Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the innovative leadership level of educational institution administrators; 2) to study the motivation level of teachers and educational personnel; and 3) to study the innovative leadership of school administrators affecting the motivation of teachers and educational personnel. It was a quantitative research approach. The sample consisted of 162 teachers and educational personnel. A questionnaire was used as a research tool.  The study employed statistics to analyze data, namely mean, standard deviation.  and multiple regression analysis.

           The results of the research found that 1) means score of innovative leadership of administrators, was at high level (equation= 4.28, SD. = 0.79); 2) means score of the motivation of teachers and educational personnel in school operations was at a high level (equation= 4.26, SD. = 0.57); and 3) innovative leadership of administrator’s affective motivation of teachers and educational personnel teamwork and participation was at a low level (β =0.357). The innovative leadership of administrator’s vision for change, creativity, and risk management, could predict the motivation of teachers and educational personnel at 39 %
